Joshua Barbosa is an Associate with Williams DeLoatche, P.C. and has lived in the Hampton Roads area since 2017. A proud New England native, Josh fell in love with the familiar coastline of the Hampton Roads area while attending law school. He received his undergraduate degree in Pre-law from Pensacola Christian College in 2016 and his law degree from Regent University School of Law in 2020. Josh has obtained the unique experience of practicing personal injury law from both the plaintiff and defense perspective. With this experience, a passion for civil litigation, and the skills to achieve the best results for his clients, Josh is well equipped to assist you with your legal needs.
During law school, Josh gained experience in a wide array of practice areas through numerous internships including the City of Chesapeake, Chesapeake General District Court, and several private practices. He was also active in several organizations including the Regent University School of Law Moot Court Board where he served as Chair during his final year of law school. He also developed excellence in written and oral advocacy while competing for the Moot Court Board and finishing as a National Champion, Regional Champion, and National Semifinalist in competitions around the country. Josh also participated as a stu-
dent member of the James Kent American Inn of Court throughout law school and now participates as a practicing attorney. He practices and appears in all local state courts of Hampton Roads on the Southside and the Peninsula. He is also admitted to and practices in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Josh and his wife are active members of Sweethaven Baptist Church in Portsmouth, Virginia and love to spend their spare time exploring all that Hampton Roads has to offer (especially the food). They reside in Virginia Beach with their young son, Stephen James, and rambunctious pup, Rocky. He loves sports, especially basketball, and he is a fan of all new England sports teams (red sox, Celtics, patriots, bruins).
