Colston Jones, attorney at Williams DeLoatche P.C. is a graduate of Haverford College in Haverford, Pennsylvania. Colston played varsity basketball for four years. He earned his law degree from the Washington and Lee University School of Law in Lexington, Virginia. Colston has been practicing law in Virginia for almost ten years; he comes to the firm from the Office of the Public Defender in Chesapeake, where he worked for more than three years and represented clients on misdemeanor and felony charges in the Chesapeake courts. While working as an assistant public defender, Colston handled many cases on appeal and argued cases before the Court of Appeals of Virginia and the Supreme Court of Virginia. He began his legal career as a law clerk to two judges of the Norfolk Circuit Court.
Colston was born and raised in Norfolk, where he now lives with his wife, Eleanor, and their two young sons. Among other volunteer activities, he has coached youth sports at Saint Patrick Catholic School in Norfolk.
